Helping you think differently about personal challenges with logic and philosophy

How logic and philosophy can help think differently about personal challenges
"We are often not disturbed by events, but our perception of those events" - Epictetus

How we think about situations and the world can impact our well-being and happiness. Sometimes, our difficulties and emotions can be sustained by the logic, language, and philosophy we use to understand these events. If we believe that we 'can't' work through something, or there is no other way to look at a situation, it can lead to emotions such as frustration and anxiousness. These unfavourable thought patterns may introduce unnecessary complexities into our lives. My aim is not to treat mental health conditions, but help you logically deconstruct your situation, challenge your thinking, explore various perspectives, generate options, and develop a plan of action.
"I felt like a window had been thrown open in my brain and fresh air had entered"
How do sessions work?
"Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose a response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom" - V. Frankl
-
We have a short 15-minute phone consultation to discuss what your needs are, and how I may be able to help you. There is no charge for this consultation, and no obligation to book a full session. I do not deal with trauma, diagnose mental health conditions, or work with significantly distressing issues.
-
During a full session (in-person, phone, or video) we talk in-depth about your current concern. This provides you an open non-judgmental space for discussion and exploration.
-
We deconstruct and analyse your concern using logic and philosophy. We aim to challenge your thinking that may be not be working in your best interest. A new logic supported by philosophy can help simplify and enhance your life through valuable perspectives, new principles for navigating challenges, and insight into understanding oneself.
-
We aim to identify goals and action steps that can help you in your daily life. You choose what is best for you.
-
Integrating the illustrative technique allows a visual representation of your challenge that resonates with you. It provides a tangible takeaway from our conversation to build on.
"I am now able to look at my situation in a way that I don't feel boxed in anymore"
How illustrating the problem can help explore possibilities and insight
"Illustrative techniques can help us reveal pathways to resolutions and solutions with more clarity and insight"

Illustrative technique underscores the profound ability of visual representations in comprehending the intricacies of the world, logical systems, and our personal challenges. By visually representing our challenge, individuals may gain a clearer perspective, identify patterns, and discern alternative solutions. This visual approach acts as a guiding tool, enabling more informed and effective strategies for resolution.
How logic and philosophy helps businesses
Logic and philosophy offers unique solutions to help business owners, executives, and staff achieve results and well-being. It offers professionals a reflective space for challenging their thinking, clarifying it, and generating new considerations. In doing so, it can also help relieve stress as ideas and problems are identified and explored. Alexander the great had Aristotle, who do you have?
